El Camino Real de Andalucia

It has been too long! Each night before I fall asleep, I try to remember each detail in a little notepad. When I have more than 30 consecutive minutes, I will begin to catch up with the blogs, but until then, trust that I am storing everything up for the most epic blog posting of all Carpetbagger Tale time...

To tantalize, I´ll give you a brief summary of our itinerary so far: five glorious days in Ireland where the three of us covered over 56 miles on foot through the most enchanting countryside, one day in Seville where we strolled through sunbaked streets beneath golden limestone churches, spires, and flying buttresses, and today, a busride through Andalucia to Cordoba where we have begun to explore la ciudad de tres culturas: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Tomorrow, we get to see la Mezquita Grande!

For now, it´s nearly 10 PM, and in true Andalucian fashion, we´re about to begin our evening with a tour of tapas bars and then stay up into the wee hours drinking fine wine that costs less than 2 euro a copa!

Peace, love, y felicidades,

E
